Google Wave is gone. Don't complain. Users must decide

One year ago Google introduced Google Wave. Today they discontinued it. Good move Google. Innovation cannot be planned. Innovation is a collection of successes and failures. You never know. Users will decide.

Discovering the right advertising formula, Larry Page confessed to a Stanford class, “probably was an accident more than a plan.”

"But despite these wins, and numerous loyal fans, Wave has not seen the user adoption we would have liked. We don’t plan to continue developing Wave as a standalone product, but we will maintain the site at least through the end of the year and extend the technology for use in other Google projects."
